The Constantinou Foundation proudly supports organisations, programs and initiatives that create meaningful change across health, education and community wellbeing.
Through ongoing partnerships, targeted donations and hands-on support, the foundation aims to create lasting impact where it is needed most.
Who we support.
MURDOCH CHILDREN’S RESEARCH INSTITUTE
One of Australia's leading child health research organisations, focused on improving the health and wellbeing of children through world-class medical research, early intervention and breakthrough treatments.
The Constantinou Foundation supports allergy research through the EarlyNuts and ADAPT programs. For the first time, researchers have recorded a significant reduction in childhood peanut allergy at age 6, following guidelines recommending early introduction of common allergy-causing foods. Alongside this, the HealthNuts study — one of the most comprehensive food allergy studies in the world — now follows over 5,000 children, with 85% of participants choosing to continue and 90% recognising its value. Together, these programs are helping turn the tide on childhood food allergy in Australia.
NAtional ALLERGY CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE
Dedicated to preventing, treating and improving the management of food allergies through research, public health policy and education.
To date, we support the Vitality research program, investigating the role of vitamin D in the prevention of food allergy in children. We also support research into the psychosocial and mental health impacts of food allergy across childhood, as well as the HealthNuts program, one of Australia’s leading studies into childhood food allergy prevalence and prevention.
BREAKTHROUGH T1D
Focused on funding research, treatment and support for people living with type 1 diabetes, with the goal of improving quality of life and accelerating progress towards a cure.
The foundation currently supports research into type 1 diabetes, alongside the Kidsac program, which provides educational resources and support packs for newly diagnosed children and families. It also contributes to Rufus the Bear, a comforting frontline support toy given to children following diagnosis.
PROFESSOR JEANIE CHEONG
Professor Jeanie Cheong is internationally recognised for her work improving outcomes for babies born very prematurely or with complex medical needs.
The foundation currently supports research programs focused on improving long-term health, development and wellbeing outcomes for high-risk infants. This includes support for allergy-related research through the EarlyNuts age six follow-up program and the ADAPT program, helping drive better outcomes through early intervention and evidence-based care.
BAKER HEART AND DIABETES INSTITUTE
The Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute has been at the forefront of cardiovascular and diabetes research for 100 years. Through the Bright Sparks Program, the Constantinou Foundation supports emerging PhD researchers working across heart attack, heart failure, diabetes and cardiometabolic health.
More than $350,000 is distributed each year through scholarships, awards and grants — giving talented scientists the financial freedom to focus fully on their work, and the confidence that their ideas are worth backing. The researchers supported through this program are already making meaningful progress on some of the most complex health challenges of our time.
